Outside of my academic work, I am eager to contribute to debates on foreign and security policy in the United States, India, and the international community. Before academia, I was a researcher at the Henry L. Stimson Center’s South Asia Program, where I contributed to organizing Track II dialogues, edited the online magazine South Asian Voices, and researched and wrote on South Asian security issues. I have spoken on U.S.-India relations and Indian foreign policy at recent public-facing events.
Below is a sample of my policy writing:
2026 Annual Survey of India, Hoover Institution. (Forthcoming)
“Did India shoot down a Pakistani F-16 in February? This just became a big deal,” The Washington Post (Monkey Cage). April 7, 2019. (with Sameer Lalwani)
“What will be the Strategic Ripple Effects of Balakot?” The Wire.
March 27, 2019.
“Drivers, Decisions, Dilemmas: Understanding the Kashmir Crisis and its Implications,” War on the Rocks. February 20, 2019. (with Sameer Lalwani)
“India and Pakistan Aren’t Ready for Another Terrorist Crisis,” Foreign Policy. November 30, 2018. (with Sameer Lalwani)
